FROM THE OCEAN TO THE OCEAN
Regenerated nylon ECONYL® is a product that helps close the loop. Made from fishing nets and carpet waste, it is infinitely recyclable and offers unlimited possibilities. Nylon waste, collected from landfills and oceans around the world, is transformed into regenerated ECONYL® nylon. For our bikinis and swim shorts, we use only ECONYL® exclusively.
The yarn is largely made from ghost nets, which pose a significant threat in our oceans, as countless marine animals become entangled in them, suffocate, and tragically die from starvation. Thanks to this process, more and more areas of the oceans are being cleared of these ghost nets. Additionally, this regeneration process saves a substantial amount of crude oil.
LEARN MORE ABOUT THE ECONYL® PROCESS
Global Nylon Waste Rescue
ECONYL® collects old fishing nets that are drifting aimlessly in the sea, continuing to fish wastefully. Additionally, they use material scraps from the carpet industry for their yarn.
Depolymerization Process
The material is sorted, cleaned, and broken down into tiny components in a unique process. It is then processed into a pure granulate.
Processing into Econyl® Yarn
The granulate is spun into yarn. With the addition of Xtra Life Lycra®, an elastic fabric is created. This fabric is particularly durable and also resistant to salt and UV rays.
New Sustainable and Luxurious Swimwear
The yarn is woven into fabric by various manufacturers around the world. We have these fabrics printed with bold designs and create your new swimwear.
